ABOUT
Elias Pivec, born in 1999 in Germany and currently residing in Austria, is pursuing his Jazz Drums studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. He recently graduated with honors from the Pop Music program at the Johann-Joseph Fux Conservatory Graz, where he was awarded the Talent Promotion Prize. His first orchestral experiences began at a young age with the Landesjugendsinfonieorchester Steiermark (LJSO), the Landesjugendblasorchester Steiermark (LJBO), and the JugendJazzOrchester of the KUG.
Highlights of his musical career include numerous awards, international productions, and performances, including with the renowned Birdland Big Band in New York City, as well as a Disney tour with pianist Lang Lang feat. Wiener Concertverein in the United Arab Emirates.
In addition to his studies, he is particularly active with the Franz Lehar Orchestra and Synchron Stage Vienna Orchestra. He has also contributed musically to films such as Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as series like "Avatar" and „Star Wars Acolyte“, and video games like "Palia", "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" and „Star Wars Jedi“. Among many others.
He gained artistic experience at the Bühne Baden in "My Fair Lady" as a substitute for Drum Set and Percussion and at the Next Liberty Graz. Since 2024, he has been performing as the drummer for the musical "The Wonderful Journey of Nils Holgersson" at the Graz Opera. As a classical percussionist and jazz/pop musician, he has toured throughout Europe, China, and both South and North America, showcasing his skills.
In 2025, he will join the Rotary Jazz World Orchestra Porto as their drummer. In addition to his music career, he has led several workshops and served as a percussion and drum instructor, teaching classical, jazz, and pop music, as well as drum ensembles at the Birkfeld Music School in Styria.
